Forms should be turned in to the appropriate campus office.

All transfers are subject to the following:

• Space available in that particular campus grade level

• Appropriate attendance

• Grades of at least 70 in all classes

• Passing scores on all of the most recent state assessments

• Excellent behavior

• Student’s need for special instructional services


*Meeting any of the above criteria does not guarantee approval. Saint Jo ISD will not increase staffing allocations to accommodate transfer requests. Consideration of the effect of the transfer may differ at elementary and secondary schools.

Transfers must be renewed each year.  Transfer students (including returning transfers) are reviewed each year by the campus transfer committee and principal, and a recommendation is made to the Superintendent based on the student's attendance, grades, and discipline history.


Approval/Denial Letters will be emailed upon approval/denial. If a transfer request is approved, the transfer is effective for the stated school year only. District approval of this transfer creates no right or expectation that the student will be admitted as a transfer for any subsequent school year. This transfer is approved for the named student only. District approval of this transfer creates no right of expectation that another student from the same family will be admitted as a transfer. The parent or student will be responsible for transportation to and from the school.

 

New Transfers: Priority Transfer Requests will be accepted beginning Monday, April 15, 2024 through May 15, 2024.
